January's Pitch Competition Winner
Tell us about yourself and why you started your business?
My name is Coachelle. I am a life and wellness coach based in London. I offer 1:1 online sessions focused on bringing out the best in your health, wealth and happiness. I started my business for someone like me, who needed a push along the journey called life, who needed someone to show them that by adjusting mindset, wellness and their network they could succeed and be great. I found that I had been informally coaching those around me for many years and after successfully running a women’s group for 4 years, I decided it was time to offer a bespoke coaching service to formally support the process from thought to success.
How did you go about launching your business and getting your first customers?
I developed some name and logo ideas and sent it out to my networking group for critique. After deciding on name, brand colours and logo, I decided to use two social media platforms - Instagram and LinkedIn for launching. I launched on 2nd January 2020 online and to my local groups of friends. Via Instagram and word of mouth the business started to take off and I started attracting clients. I now have 2!
What are some of the biggest challenges you have had to overcome in your journey so far?
I always struggled with how to Pitch succinctly to attract the right clients and found I was often not ready to pitch wherever I was. My self-confidence was knocked a lot when people did not support the idea. I also had no idea how to run a business successfully and what things I could monetise.
What is the best lesson you have learned so far and how can it help others?
Your network is your net worth. Surround yourself with like-minded people who will keep you accountable and will push you to keep going. We set weekly goals and check in to help each other keep on track. Also celebrate all your wins no matter how big or small, each day you push yourself a little further, you are growing, changing and becoming a better version of yourself!
What future impact do you hope your business has on those you serve?
I want to inspire people all over the world to live more intentional lives. To wake up and live their life on purpose because they have found their purpose. I want people to be conscious of their mind and body so that they take care of it and use it to the best of their ability. I want to be the glue between who people are and who they want to be.
Why did you decide to pitch at the H&H event?
I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and do something that I’d never done before. I wanted to focus on an area that I’m not particularly strong in and force myself to get better at it. Learn from what could have been improved and build on what was already great. The event seemed like a great and safe space for showcasing my new business and I was not disappointed, the crowd and panel were amazing!
